Lunch on the quay

Start with the boats. The day boats land a few streets from most of our houses, and the quayside kitchens cook what came in that morning. Order simply, sit outside if the wind allows, and watch the harbour do its slow, busy thing around you.

The dinner worth booking

One room above the water books out a fortnight ahead in August — tell us your dates and we will reserve it for your first night. Everywhere else, a same-day call does the job outside high summer. Each house folder lists our current three favourites with the dishes to order.
