Useful before you set off
Getting here
Poole station is fifteen minutes by taxi. Drivers: the Sandbanks chain ferry runs to Studland and saves the long loop — check sailing times in summer.
The beaches
Sandbanks faces east for calm mornings; Branksome Chine catches the evening sun. Flags fly in season, and the water stays shallow a long way out.
